Parents and
the family often get a lot of toys for the baby: teddy bears, baby rattles, teethers,
baby blocks, balls and toy books. Nowadays these baby toys are also very educational. Infant educational toys are designed to affect as many senses as
possible and to provide as much external stimuli as possible.
Educational
toys positively influence the baby's manual development, physical development,
perceptiveness and the ability to think. In the early stages of life a child
learns through play, so parents should make sure that the items around the baby
will provide not only entertainment, but also will stimulate its development.
Educational
toys are often very colorful and make sounds, making the child more sensitive
to the large amount of stimuli coming from the surroundings. The diversity of
educational toys makes every child find something that will catch their
attention.
A great
example of educational toys is a playmat. It can be used for 3-month-old babies
and it is more useful place for playing than a crib. It offers a lot of
impressions to the baby. The baby is lying on the playmat and there are various
toys hanging over him/her. Every months the baby discovers new features of this
toy that surprise him/her like a new sound or new color.
There are
also many educational toy books which contain large colorful pictures of
animals, fruits, vegetables, vehicles. Some of these books make sounds, for
example when we press the picture of a horse it will make the sound of horse. Educational
books may include also moving elements that help to develop the ability to
catch, squeeze or turn. It’s great for baby’s manual development.
On the market we can find also soft baby
blocks with colorful pictures, textures, patterns. Some of them also make sounds.
Baby teethers can also have shape of animals and make sounds.
Educational toys are very useful and
helpful for baby’s development.
